PlayStation 5 will witness God of War in 2021 as Sony has confirmed with a teaser. This next-gen sequel due to come out next year is a continuation to the 2018 PlayStation 4 title. It is being developed by Sony’s Santa Monica studio.
The game is expected to pick up the journey of Kratos and his son, Atreus, and follow the events of it. Furthermore, both the main characters in the game might continue to battle against various gods and heroes of the Norse pantheon including Thor, if the end-credit teaser in the last game is anything to go by.
Also, Sony is also including the original series of God of War in its newly announced PlayStation Plus Collection. The new console can be caught up after the release of the sequel next year, while the existing collection allows the players an easy way to play the current series.
