Google Company’s code-based authentication app- Google Authenticator has made the new update after three years. This update is introduced for a better aspect ratio for larger devices and delivering one of the platform’s most-needed features. The last update of Android took place on 22 August, 2017.
The flexibility by the Authenticator to users will fulfill the transfer of account from one device to another easily. The authenticator also allows auto transfer of each code or re-enable two-factor authentication (2FA), or disables each account. This is possible through an import / export tool with choice of accounts to be included and transferred using a single QR code scan.
The update adds an adjustable dark mode for those with and without OLED screens. It also adjusts the layout for the newer screens with 16:9 aspect ratios. It upgrades the user interface in accordance with Google’s Material Design 2 standards. This update for the time being is only available for Android users and might be available for iOS in the future.
