The “Search On” event from Google announced a few major improvements that will soon be implemented in the coming weeks and months on its Google search service. The implementation would associate with the new AI and machine learning techniques.
The newly coming features will provide better search results by Google for users. One of the significant developments is a new spell checking tool that Google promises will help identify even the most poorly spelled queries.
Google’s head of search, Prabhakar Raghavan said that 15 percent of Google search queries each day are ones that Google has never seen before. This means that the company would be constantly working to improve its results.
Google search can now index individual passages from webpage’s which is another new change, instead of just the whole webpage. Better results generation by Google also involves AI to divide broader searches into subtopics.
Computer vision and speech recognition are the methods being used by the company to automatically tag and divide videos into parts. This is an automated version of the existing chapter tools that it already provides.
