Adobe has teamed up with YouTube to introduce a new dedicated content creation hub inside Premiere for iOS, tailored specifically for YouTube Shorts creators. Announced on Monday, this hub offers creators access to exclusive templates, transitions, and effects, plus the ability to publish Shorts directly to their YouTube channels from their phones.

According to the company, the new hub is designed to equip creators with everything they need to craft viral content, grow their audience, and stay ahead of trends—whether they’re filming day-in-the-life vlogs, travel snippets, or behind-the-scenes footage.

With this partnership, YouTube is giving its creators a specialized space built for Shorts production, encouraging them to use Adobe’s tools instead of rival platforms like Meta’s Edits or ByteDance-owned CapCut.

“Although content edited in Premiere mobile can be shared to other social platforms, what’s unique about this partnership is that creators getting inspiration from their YouTube Shorts feed, can launch a template that caught their eye, directly into Premiere mobile and start customizing it for their own channel,” said Meagan Keane, director, Product Marketing, Digital Video and Audio at Adobe, in an email to TechCrunch. “This content creation space within the Premiere mobile app is designed and optimized for YouTube Shorts.”

The Create for YouTube Shorts space in Premiere mobile includes templates from top creators, complete with built-in text, effects, and transition presets. Users can insert their own media, customize templates to match their style, and even create and submit their own templates for others to use.

Getting started is simple: creators need a free Premiere mobile login to access the hub and a YouTube profile to publish directly to their Shorts feed. After downloading Adobe Premiere from the App Store, they can tap “Create for YouTube” to open the new workspace.

From there, creators can import clips from their iPhone camera roll, cloud storage, or Adobe Creative Cloud. They can then cut and trim footage, layer video and audio tracks, fine-tune color and brightness, and add text overlays or captions to complete their Shorts.
