The streaming giant Netflix is on the roll to restore streaming quality to normal levels in European nations. This move comes after the government requests for the company. It is also to reduce bandwidth usage and stress on broadband connections.

The people have been noticing increasing rates in streaming bitrates, and reports claim it in countries such as Norway, Denmark, Germany, and other countries. So the company is working with ISPs to help increase capacity.

The content streaming platforms including Netflix and YouTube were being approached by European Union industry chief Thierry Breton. The chief contacted the services to look into and help reduce their load on infrastructure.

Hence Netflix started reducing bitrates on streaming for 30 days, although the company estimates that the Netflix traffic would be reduced by 25 percent approximately. The reduction was in addition to other methods that the company has used since 2011. The measures keep streaming steady in areas with low bandwidth capabilities.
