LG has confirmed that AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support alongside the Apple TV app will be coming to some of its 2018 TV models. Also, its newer 2019 and 2020 TVs will all have the new feature included.
The official UK twitter account of LG tweeted “LG’s 2018 TVs will add support for Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit later this year.” Also, the company said more details would be shared as the features become available.
Basically, the iPhone and iPad users easily stream content from their devices using AirPlay 2 compatible with LG TVs. On the other hand, HomeKit support lets you control and integrate a TV with Apple’s smart home ecosystem.
FlatPanelsHD has to put a tracker together with various combinations of the features. These are already available for some of the models of Samsung and Sony TVs associated with 2018 release, and 2016 models of Vizio TVs.
