Developer Mojang Studios has announced that Minecraft is getting a free upgrade making the game playable in PlayStation VR. The development will come in place later this month. Mojang says the upgrade will be made available soon, in this month.
PSVR Minecraft was on a request from fans for a while now. The ever-popular game is already available to play on various virtual reality platforms. Sony’s VR hardware has until now been overlooked although it launched on the Oculus Rift back in 2016.
“100% the same Minecraft game that you can play every day, every week, every month, every year…on PlayStation 4. Nothing removed. 100% wholesome & pure full-fat Minecraft,” said the company about the PS VR version of Minecraft.
There will be some tweaks but mainly to the interface and set-up for VR. So the players will be able to use the PS4 controller to move about and take action. Also, they can keep enjoying themselves while looking around them using the PS VR headset.
