Apple is going to launch its online store in India on September 23rd. This will be the first direct retail channel in India providing customers a way to buy Apple products directly online from the company.
Apple’s senior vice president of retail and people Deirdre O’Brien said “We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” in a statement.
The company says the Indian online store will offer “Apple’s full range of products and support.” This will include the new products announced on Tuesday last week. The new list of products includes Apple Watch Series 6, a new iPad Air, and more, excluding the new iPhone series for the time being.
There has been enough demand for Apple products in India. Also, Apple has started manufacturing some of its devices in the country in the recent years. Besides, Foxconn started building the iPhone 11 near Chennai in India earlier this year.
