Google is introducing a new Nest Aware pricing model that rolls out starting from this week. This new subscription covers all Nest devices so that users need not pay on each device as they purchase.
Nest Aware is available in 19 markets including the UK, the US, France, Australia, and Germany. The new subscription now costs $6 a month or $60 a year on all your Nest devices. This gives you 30 days of event video history. And as you opt for a plan of $12 a month or $120 a year, you can avail Nest Aware Plus.
It’s not just the pricing mode, but you have added benefits. Google claims that Nest speakers and displays in the US can now listen and alert critical sounds like smoke alarm and breaking of glass. You may directly call 911 as the alerts activate and display the unusual sounds that might turn out to be severe circumstances.
