Microsoft has launched a new Family Safety app for Android. The launched app includes location sharing, content filters, and much more. The company has been testing the app rigorously in recent months. Parents can monitor all the usage charts of their children using the Family Safety app.
Besides, the screentime can also be seen and parents can set app time limits along with the ability for children to request extensions. The Family Safety app syncs with Windows, Android, and Xbox. The restrictions for gaming will be in place so as to set time limits. Also, few apps can be fully blocked while the parents feel such specific apps are unnecessary.
The company added web and search filters. This is to limit browsing to kid-friendly sites. Microsoft Edge browser on Windows, Android, and Xbox are targeted to use these filters. On the other hand, mobile screen time and content filters are limited to Android. However the company says it’s trying to bring these features to iPhones, too.
