Notion, the San Francisco-based workspace software company valued at $10bn, is accelerating its European expansion with the opening of several new offices, including a major base in London. Reports Technology News

Backed by Index Ventures and Sequoia, the AI-driven platform is establishing three new hubs across Europe, located in London, Paris, and Munich, to strengthen its presence across the EMEA region.

The company first set up its European headquarters in Dublin in 2021, which has since grown to a team of more than 100 employees.

To oversee its enlarged European operations, Notion has appointed Mick Hodgins, a former Google executive, as general manager for EMEA

“It’s an honour to join Notion at this exciting moment for both the company and industry. As organisations across EMEA navigate AI, we have an opportunity to transform how they work with beautiful, flexible tools that elevate human craft,” said Hodgins.

“Notion now has tens of millions of users in EMEA—from students to CEOs, from high-growth startups to established enterprises. This diverse and innovative ecosystem shows that the future of work is at our fingertips.

As part of its broader European push, Notion is also launching a new data residency option in collaboration with Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt. This will allow Notion Enterprise customers to choose whether their data is hosted in the US or the EU, offering greater flexibility and compliance with regional requirements.
