The first fall event this year named the “Time Flies” by Apple had some big announcements on its upcoming releases of devices. As expected, there’s no announcement of iPhone releases for now, but the upgraded Apple Watches and iPads are displayed.
The much expected virtual event had video streamed online with the arrival of new products released digitally without any physical presence. The new Apple Watch Series 6 shown at the event will have blood oxygen monitoring feature with a new health sensor on board.
Another awaited device is the Apple Watch SE which comes at an affordable price and this would be a debut from Apple for such a low-cost Watch series. It matches many features of the Series 6 including a gyroscope, built-in accelerometer, an always-on altimeter, and fall detection.
Apple has launched a new iPad Air that looks a lot like an iPad Pro with an all-screen design. It is as big as a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with a 2360 x 1640 resolution. The Touch ID button is moved from the front of the device to the top.
A new iPad Air also has a new Apple-designed chip along with an updated eighth-generation iPad launched at the Apple event yesterday. Most importantly iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and WatchOS 7 are made available for devices starting from 16 September.
