Google has made its efforts come true after it promised to bring back Google Maps on Apple Watches. The company has been trying hard since August to bring Maps back after being removed in 2017.
The features of Maps include providing route estimates and step-by-step directions to and from pre-saved locations on your wrist. The initial introduction of Google Maps on the Apple Watches came in 2015, but with no reasons it’s being removed in 2017.
The process of finding new locations with this version on the watches directly doesn’t happen, instead you need to browse them on the phone. Once the places you desire to navigate are saved on the phone, then they can be accessible on the Apple Watch.
However, users willing to install the new app onto the Apple Watch, need to update the Google Maps app on the iPhone to the latest version 5.52. The watchOS app requires watchOS 5 or later, which excludes the original Apple Watch.
