Claude, the powerful AI assistant developed by start-up Anthropic, is now integrated with Google’s Gmail and Calendar, boosting its ability to support users with organisational tasks. Reports Technology News
Anthropic confirmed that this new functionality will be rolled out to paid subscribers of Claude, allowing them to use the AI assistant to search through emails, review documents, and assist with calendar management and scheduling.
The update marks another step in the intensifying AI arms race, as companies strive to differentiate their AI assistants. It also coincides with Google’s announcement of a new AI video generation tool for its Gemini Advanced AI assistant.
Backed by major investments from both Google and Amazon, Anthropic is positioning Claude as a strong competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini.
According to the company, this latest update will transform Claude into a “more informed and capable collaborator.”
In addition to the Google integration, Anthropic has also introduced a new research feature that allows Claude to search both a user’s existing work and the web—enhancing its ability to deliver deeper, more comprehensive responses.
