Apple has combined with Google to develop a new COVID-19 notification system. The new update of iOS 13.7 was released on 1 September. This special system will allow removing the dedicated apps that might consume space on your devices.
The new notification system powers with COVID-19 tracking. It is an extension of the existing coronavirus contact tracing efforts. Both Apple and Google have announced this new software framework and as a joint statement.
All the participating health departments will assemble a configuration file under the new system. This allows them to set their risk scores and redirect users to their specific health department website. They can also modify the exposure information as recommendation for users.
Both iOS and Android operating systems can automatically generate the necessary software although they handle the task differently. The process of notification system works as the configuration is complete. The configuration file automatically generates a custom Android app.
