Susan Wojcicki, the former head of YouTube and one of Google’s earliest employees, has passed away at the age of 56. Reports Technology News

Google CEO Sundar Pichai shared the news on X/Twitter, revealing that Ms. Wojcicki had succumbed to lung cancer after a two-year battle. Pichai expressed his deep sorrow, noting that Ms. Wojcicki was “as integral to Google’s history as anyone.”

Often referred to as the “most important Googler you’ve never heard of,” Ms. Wojcicki played a pivotal role in the company’s early days. In 1998, she rented out her Menlo Park garage to Google’s founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, marking the start of the tech giant’s journey.
