Pinterest is expanding its partnership with Amazon by allowing creators to showcase their Amazon Storefronts directly on the platform. The move is designed to help creators earn more through affiliate marketing by promoting products featured in their content and directing followers to Amazon purchases.

The latest integration strengthens Pinterest’s appeal to creators who have traditionally built their affiliate and shopping businesses on larger social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook. Pinterest said more than half of its users visit the platform to shop, while generating over 80 billion searches every month.

The announcement comes as Pinterest looks to reinforce its position as a leading shopping and discovery platform while addressing user concerns about the increasing volume of AI-generated content appearing across the site.

Pinterest said creators will be able to connect their Amazon Storefront directly to their Pinterest account using a new integration tool. Once connected, affiliate links will be automatically attached whenever eligible Amazon products are tagged, simplifying the product promotion process.

The linked storefronts can also be displayed on creators’ Pinterest profiles, giving followers a broader view of recommended products beyond individual Pins and Boards.

The partnership further strengthens ties between Amazon and Pinterest following their multi-year advertising agreement launched in 2023, which made Amazon the platform’s first third-party advertising partner.

Pinterest expanded its advertising strategy further in 2024 through a similar partnership with Google as the company continues efforts to increase revenue from its popular shopping, bookmarking and inspiration platform.
