YouTube TV subscribers frustrated after losing access to ESPN, ABC, and other Disney-owned channels for over a week will soon receive a $20 credit toward their next billing cycle.
Variety first reported the news, which has since been confirmed by a YouTube spokesperson to TechCrunch. According to the company, the credits are now being distributed, and affected subscribers will receive email instructions on how to claim them.
Disney’s networks were removed from YouTube TV on October 31 following a contract dispute. The streaming provider says that if an agreement is reached, the channels could return within hours. As with most carriage disputes, the issue appears to center on pricing — YouTube has accused Disney of demanding higher fees, while Disney argues that YouTube is “refusing to pay fair rates for our channels.”
This isn’t the first time the two companies have clashed. Back in 2022, a similar dispute led to Disney’s channels briefly disappearing from YouTube TV, prompting the company to issue subscribers a $15 credit.
