Lovable has launched its no-code AI app builder as a mobile app, now available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store — despite tighter rules from Apple on so-called “vibe-coding” tools.
The new app lets users build applications using voice or text prompts, allowing ideas to be captured instantly and developed on the go. Once a prompt is given, Lovable’s AI agent can continue working autonomously, turning concepts into functional app builds.
Users can also seamlessly switch between mobile and desktop, picking up projects where they left off and receiving notifications when builds are ready for review.
The launch comes amid Apple’s recent crackdown on vibe-coding apps. The company has blocked updates to tools like Replit and Vibecode for violating App Store guidelines. Apple’s concern centres on apps that dynamically download or execute new code, which can pose security risks and bypass its review process.
While Apple hasn’t banned vibe-coding apps entirely, it now requires stricter compliance. For example, apps can no longer run generated code directly within the host app. Instead, previews must be handled externally, typically through web browsers.
This policy shift briefly affected other tools such as Anything, which was temporarily removed before returning after making adjustments.
Lovable’s launch shows that, with the right technical approach, AI-driven app builders can still operate within Apple’s ecosystem — even as the platform tightens control over how dynamic code is handled.
