Netflix has unveiled plans for an animated series inspired by Minecraft.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the world’s best-selling video game made the announcement during a special birthday event. A brief teaser trailer features a green creeper character from the game crawling into the center of a black screen before detonating in a pixelated grey cloud. Reports Technology News
As the mist dissipates, the camera delves into an underground cavern filled with lava. The scene eventually focuses on a red Netflix “N” logo perched on a volcanic rock, transitioning to the words “Netflix x Minecraft”.
A caption underneath the video reads: “This just happened: The best-selling game of all time & the biggest streamer in the world are teaming up to bring you a brand new Minecraft Netflix animated series.”
